Doors that hang crooked, refuse to close flush, or swing open on their own are almost always a hinge story. Euro-style concealed hinges have adjustment screws for exactly this purpose, and older face-frame hinges can often be reset or replaced with a better-suited unit. Correct alignment across a whole run of doors changes how a kitchen reads more than most people anticipate.

Drawers rank a close second. Boxes coming apart at the corners, slides that bind or fall off track, bottoms sagging out of their grooves, and full-extension hardware that quit halfway through its life are all standard repair work. On older cabinetry, wood-on-wood runners wear grooves into themselves, and converting to modern slides is frequently a better answer than rebuilding the original.

Then there are the structural complaints. Shelves bowing under weight, sink base floors soft from a slow supply-line drip, toe kicks damaged by mopping and moisture, cabinet boxes racking out of square as the floor beneath them moves, and face frames separating at the joints. Some of that repairs cleanly. Where a box has taken sustained water damage, we say plainly that replacing it costs less over time than propping it up.

Surface repair covers chipped and peeling finishes, delaminated thermofoil doors, water rings on vanity tops, and the veneer edges that lift near dishwashers and cooktops.

Not every cabinet project involves something being broken. Plenty of homeowners simply want the space to look current, and there are several routes to that short of a full remodel.

Hardware replacement is the cheapest meaningful change available. Swapping dated knobs and pulls, upgrading to soft-close hinges and drawer slides, and adding pull-out organizers or lazy Susan units improves both appearance and daily function without touching the boxes. Drilling for new hardware on existing doors takes accurate layout work, and mismatched hole spacing from a previous set has to be handled deliberately.

Larger projects include installing new cabinets in kitchens, baths, laundry areas, and garages, adding fillers and trim to finish out a run properly, mounting crown and light rail molding, cutting and fitting toe kick and scribe trim to uneven walls and floors, and building in shelving where wasted space exists. We can also assist with removing existing cabinetry ahead of new work.



Cabinet layout depends on level floors and plumb walls, neither of which is guaranteed in this part of Texas. Establishing accurate reference lines and shimming appropriately is what keeps doors aligned two years later.
